Job Opening: Part-Time Business Manager

The Business Manager reports directly to the Executive Director.  The primary responsibilities of the Business Manager include:

 

  1. Keep Executive Director informed concerning the business operations of the Council;

  2. Appraise, review, recommend and implement practices and procedures approved by the Executive Director and participate in the presentation of information as directed;

  3. Perform and coordinate administrative and clerical duties necessary to run Council office efficiently;

  4. Make arrangements for appointments, meetings and travel as deemed necessary;

  5. Maintain the financial recording system currently in place or alter it as may be required for future needs; 

  6. Account for the deposits, assure that cash receipts are made and posted timely;

  7. Reconcile and monitor all bank and investment accounts;

  8. Assure that all accounts payable and accounts receivable are posted timely to create budget detail;

  9. Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as paper, equipment, janitorial products and supplies for the Council and Council members;

  10. Review and respond to Council member’s bid and/or price quote requests;

  11. Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability and delivery schedule;

  12. Prepare payroll and all pertinent payroll reports;

  13. Attend Board of Directors’ meetings, record and maintain Board meeting minutes;

  14. Maintain accurate records and files necessary to the Council office;

  15. Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment; and

  16. Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Executive Director.
